Bachelorette Episode 6 June 24, 2009

So I just finished watching The Bachelorette (my apologies – I have to watch it online after Mondays, and I was a bit behind this week!).  I’m completely floored.  Umm, I’m not even sure where to begin.  I guess a synopsis will suffice.

Robby got the first one-on-one date which ended with him being dropped off in the “Canadian wilderness” (there was a train station).  I must say, the editors of The Bachelorette messed up.  They showed the scene where we learned Robby was going to be on the first one-on-one (we had previously seen the teasers that someone gets dropped off the train), but then we saw clips from the rose ceremony – and there were shots of everyone but Robby.  Needless to say, I didn’t need to see the date to know he was going.  He was sweet, and it sucks that he had to get off the train like that, but he wasn’t one of my favorites for Jillian.

Jake has always been a favorite of mine, but Reid is definitely giving him stiff competition.  The snow-shoe date was cute but WES IS A PIG.  He believes being on the show will make him famous.  News flash, genius!  It’s going to make everyone hate you!  You have a myspace page, and I’m half tempted to give you a piece of my mind you low-life pig.  So, if that rant didn’t give it away, I don’t care for the man.  When is Jillian going to see it?  I’ve always thought her to be very level-headed and logical, but she’s completely off on that one.  Tanner’s foot fettish still freaks me out, but I caught myself looking at Jillian’s feet (near perfection as Tanner sees it) and hoping that my feet looked a little bit more like that.  Tanner would not be pleased with my feet.  On the group date, it was Kiptyn who got the rose.  I do like him for her, but he’s no longer a front runner in my mind necessarily.

Reid’s one-on-one date was quite entertaining.  The poor guy must have been so sore.  He’s definitely growing on me.  I think they are quite cute together.

So, rose ceremony.  Umm….so let me get this straight she chose Wes over Jake??!?!?!  Not a good call, girl.  Actually, that was downright stupid.  Course, she doesn’t know yet so I can’t blame her too much.  She says he isn’t capable of lying – just wait till she finds out (well, she already found out since the filming is done).

The previews for the upcoming episodes have me really curious.  Jake is going to come back, and I’m guessing he’s going to show a side that isn’t necessarily perfect – but that isn’t a bad thing.  I think after that – at least from what we’re led to believe – Jake will be back in the running next week, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s the one who proposes to her after she thought she had picked the guy.  I’m still unsure what the whole “physical intimacy” issue is that they’ve been teasing us about.  Drama, drama, drama…
